Custom Knife Makers

February 18th, 2010

Knives date back to early men; this was a handy tool for early men being extremely practical and fairly easily made.  Prehistoric men made knives from stone and the knives evolved from there.  People around the world now eat at least one meal a day using a knife!

Is it a dagger or a knife?  Daggers are quickly becoming a collector item, but what is the difference?  A dagger is known as a sharp point used for stabbing, where as a knife is NOT?  They both have sharp points, they both stab, they can both kill and they can both be collectable, but the word dagger tends to sound a bit more romantic, than the word knife.

The Medieval period is a very violent time in our history.  Castles were built, battles were fought and those who were armed were Knights and Foot Soldiers/Archers.  Depending on the status and position these men would carry a different weapon; Knights would spend their entire life learning to become an expert in his weaponry, daggers being one of the weapons learned.
